my weekend

Ahh, stressful, yet fun weekend.

Friday afternoon after school, I had a job interview at Hoss's. I thought I did completely horrible. I've never had a formal interview before, so when the manager asked me several questions, I thought I had a hard time answering them. It didn't go as well as I expected... but oh well. Friday night was spent at home with my family, and video chatting with Matt. We chatted for about an hour. It's so weird not being able to see him every day like last semester, but hopefully this makes our relationship stronger. :)

So this is how I planned my weekend to go. Saturday night I was planning on going up to Matt's college to visit him until Sunday, because he wasn't coming home this weekend. Because my Geology test was on Monday, my Geology professor was having a review session at my college on Sunday night. I told myself that if I studied enough and knew the material, I would allow myself to go visit Matt and just skip the study session. If I didn't know the material, I would have to stay home and just go to the study session. So Saturday I woke up with the intention to study as much as possible so I could relax and go see Matt for a day. I studied for 6 hours straight, then took a look at a previous test he gave last semester, and I didn't know ANY OF IT. I was so devastated. Here I was, working my brain for 6 hours and it didn't get me anywhere. I was so stressed due to the messed up job interview, my test, and not being able to see Matt, I just started to cry. I haven't cried in forever. Dang you college stress!

Saturday night I went to church with Matt's family to go to the sweetheart's banquet. It was very nice, all of the people at church are like my second family. I never had a church of my own, so I started going with Matt and his family. It's been about 3 years now since I've started going, and now I'm a regular.

So, with all of the stress, I told myself I needed to get out and have some fun. I went out to my friend Mariah's house with Tara. We had so much fun, every time we get together we end up dying laughing at everything and making so many inside jokes. I'm living with them next semester, and I can't wait!
Tara, Mariah, Me, and Hooch (Mariah's awesome dog) all hung out on Saturday night.
In Mariah's house, it's tradition for people to get their picture taken with the glasses I'm wearing above, so we decided to have a little fun with it. After this picture, one of the eye lenses fell out and shattered on the floor though! I think it was symbolizing how the very last picture taken with those glasses was an epic one.
Mariah's brother is building this boat behind us and he plans on sailing it around the world! We took this picture just so we could write as the caption, "I'M ON A BOAT!"
Of course it wouldn't be a sleepover at Mariah's house if Hooch wasn't there too, following us everywhere we go.

Sunday then I went to the study session and went home. The end of my stressful weekend. Oh, today my Geology test went really well and I got a call from Hoss's saying I got the job! So I guess I was stressing over nothing :)
