Hudson's 6 month schedule
Happy 1/2 birthday to my little guy! 6 months is SUCH a fun age. Hudson is usually always happy, laughing hysterically, extremely interactive, and very observant of the world around him. He is rolling across the room, but thankfully not crawling yet. He will put his knees underneath him and attempt to crawl, but so far he just scoots backwards. I may have a little more time to baby proof the house before he's officially on the move.
I thought it would be fun to share what his typical daily routine is now so I can look back and remember what these days were like in the future.
7:00am: He's usually up by now. I get him up and nurse him, then change him.
7:30am: We go out to the kitchen and I put him in his jumper while I make coffee and get something to eat.
8:00am: We just started feeding Hudson solids since he turned 6 months! It's been pretty fun, and this kid likes to eat. I'll usually feed him half a jar of food.
9:30-11: Nurse + nap that will last anywhere from 40 minutes to two hours. I try to feed him every 3-3.5 hours. Depending on what time he is due for a nap and when his feeding will fall, sometimes I will nurse him a little bit before his nap so he's nice and full and will sleep longer.
11:00am: Maybe we will run some errands at this time, get groceries, go out and about.
12:30pm: Nurse
1:30pm: Feed him a little more baby food if he is interested
2-4pm: Nap
4-6pm: Nurse then hangout in the kitchen with me while I cook dinner. For dinner I will either feed him some of what we are eating or give him some more pureed food.
6pm: Bath, jammies, and a book!
6:45: Nurse and bed.
Thankfully from the beginning, Hudson has been a pretty great sleeper. We did have to sleep train him a little bit around 4 months, but it took us about 3 nights max before he finally got it. He puts himself to sleep for all of his naps and at bedtime and right now he doesn't wake up at all between 7pm-7am. I'm going to jinx it by bragging about him probably, but so far he has been great.
Life with him just keeps getting more and more fun! He's at the age where he's really starting to enjoy toys. He's learning to sit up on his own. He also thinks i'm hilarious ;-)
We <3 you Hudson
