Beiswenger baby #3 on the way! And we are soooo excited!
So we weren't exaclty trying. Beginning of April I noticed I hadn't had my period for awhile but my periods are always so irregular that I didn't think much of it. I took a test just to take one, not thinking anything of it, and I was SHOCKED when it came back positive! I made Trevor run out to the store to get the tests in the picture because the ones I had at home were cheap ones from Amazon. The lines showed up IMMEDIATELY. We were both shocked and in disbelief. Like, is this real?!?
The first trimester was shockingly easy. I had absolutely no symptoms except slightly sensitive boobs until 7-8 weeks. Around this time I started to have waves of nausea, but nothing that lasted longer than an hour or so. Overall I felt pretty good, I was just really tired! It made the whole pregnancy disbelief thing even stronger. Are we sure I'm pregnant?? With Nora I was sooooo sick. Hudson's wasn't bad, but I had more symptoms than what I had this time. I wasn't complaining about feeling good, but it was just strange because it wasn't how the other two pregnancies went.
Around 7-8 weeks I had my first ultrasound. They confirmed my dates were accurate, i'm due December 6th! It's funny because I never would have chosen December to have a baby. Both of my parents and both of Trevor's parents have birthdays in December. Obviously it's close to Christmas. But you know what, i'm actually really excited now. The beginning of December is far enough away from Christmas that we will be able to make them separate. And it will be so special and sweet to have a newborn baby during Christmastime.
Around 10 weeks I had my bloodwork drawn. I opted to do the NIPT test that tests for any genetic abnormalities, but also can tell you baby's gender. All of the genetic tests came back negative. We decided to do a small gender reveal with family since we hadn't done one with Hudson or Nora. Chelsey was the only one who knew baby's gender, and she made me a cake we could cut into to find out. It was so special!
I had a gut feeling it was a boy, but it was still so shocking to see that I was right!
We are so excited for this little guy!
I thought I would finish out this post by including a little questionnaire I've done each time i've been pregnant.
How far along are you? 19 weeks today!
What fruit are you? Baby is the size of a mango.
Due Date? December 6th, 2024
Gender: Boy
Total weight gain/loss: Personally I haven't been weighing myself too often, but I believe at this point i'm only up like 4-5 pounds. I'm just trying to make healthy choices and stay active.
Exercise: I'm constantly busy chasing the kids, going on walks, gardening, cleaning the house. It's not unusual for me to get 10,000 steps a day just doing my normal daily activities. By the end of the day i'm exhausted though!
Stretch marks: No new ones. I have a ton on my belly from Hudson though, but they are faded.
Swelling: None
Maternity clothes: So after Nora I got rid of most of my maternity stuff, ugh! So far I just bought some maternity shorts. I've been wearing oversized tshirts with the shorts and it's pretty comfortable.
Belly button: Still stretched out from last pregnancy. haha
Sleep: Not bad at all. Honestly I still don't really feel pregnant yet. I can still sleep on my stomach too.
Food cravings: Chips and salsa, I could eat a whole jar of salsa by the spoonful. Also really loving strombolis this time around. I've been craving lots of fresh fruits and veggies too.
Symptoms: Lower back pain if i'm cleaning or trying to get a lot done during the day.
Movement: Um, barely anything! I really didn't feel movement until a week or two ago and even then it's so muted it's hard to tell if it's the baby. I'm convinced my placenta is right in the front this time. My anatomy scan is in a week, so I will find out then.
What I miss: Beer. Especially at the beach.
What I’m loving: Planning this baby's nursery. I painted the whole room a darker blue and we just ordered a dresser.
What i’m looking forward to: Seeing Hudson and Nora as older siblings. They are at such fun ages I know they will be little helpers.
Best moment this week: Feeling a tiny bit of movement. Other than that, most days I just forget i'm pregnant honestly! Is this a 3rd child thing? haha
Words of wisdom: Since this is my 3rd, I feel like i'm a pro now. I'm honestly not stressing about much of anything, I know we will figure it out! :)
