Is anyone else as stunned as I am that it is November already? Wait.. wasn't it just July like, yesterday? Holy smokes. I'm not complaining though, my senior year of college is flying by and May will be here in no time!
I've been waiting for the big shaBANG of the leaves to change basically since September. Some have been changing here and there the past couple weeks, but nothing dramatic. However, this week it got pretty dang cold, a couple nights fell into the 20's, and I think that pushed the final trees over the edge. The mountains are now all painted with a beautiful orange and red color. It is breathtaking and easily my favorite time of the year! Trevor and I went to my parents house this weekend to visit, and I had to resist pulling the car over multiple times to take a picture. Today when we came back to my apartment, we did go the long way around which was through this beautiful valley where the mountains were just spectacular. I was in awe the entire drive. I'm kinda a sucker for nature in that kind of way.
So since it is November now and it is the month of Thanksgiving, I thought I would profess my thankfulness/love for the beauty of the mountains around here. I could stare at them all day. I am extremely excited for the weeks to come. I'm feeling a lot of apple cider drinking, scarf wearing, turkey eating, and family gatherings in the near future.
