Timber

Last month, (the day after we got engaged) we bought our first dog, a golden retriever. It took us a few days to decide, but we finally named him Timber! Trevor's dad decided on the name and we really liked it. When we picked him up, he was just a little 10 pound, 8 week old puppy.

All my life, I've always wanted a golden retriever. Maybe it was all of those Air Bud movies our gym teacher made us watch in elementary school, but I just always dreamed of having a golden of my own. I love how smart they are, and how they are such great family dogs.

Those are pictures of him right after I got him. It's hard to believe how much bigger he is already a month later! He now weighs 23 pounds. He knows how to sit and lay down. He will be going to puppy preschool here in a couple weeks! He loves his "puppy chow", and also loves to chase tennis balls in the house or in the yard. He loves to bite things with his razor sharp puppy teeth and we are working on him not biting our legs and feet. He also loves socks and shoes and will carry them around the house!

He loves chasing Kitty around the house.

He also loves other dogs, especially Zoey (who is Trevor's parents dog).
