Matt is no longer a teenager!
We celebrated his birthday at his house on Sunday with his whole family, plus some aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We were celebrating his birthday, Jenny's (she turned 21 on October 4th) and Matt's dad, Kenny (who turned 49 on the same day as Matt). Matt's grandma makes the best cakes, they look amazing and they taste great too. Well she made one for all three of them so of course we were eating a lot of cake!
Here's Jenny with her double layered cake. She's a huge Dallas fan, so her cake was Dallas inspired
Jenny and her cousin Danielle putting 21 candles on the cake!
Then here's Kenny putting all 49 candles on his cake. I missed getting a picture of him holding up his cake.
I missed him blowing out his candles too but he got them all in one breath! Next year is the big 5-0 for him! ;)
I love Matt's family. His mom is so funny and sweet, and I love to pick on his dad. They're just all genuinely nice people.
Here's Matt, Danielle, and Gregory. Matt was slicing some chestnuts, and Gregory and I were dipping those pretzels into the leftover peanut butter icing from Matt's cake. It was so good.
He can never be serious, ever

Danielle and Caroline doing Jess and Jenny's hair. (Matt's sisters)
The evening was really nice. I ended up staying late into the evening after everyone left and just spent time with Matt's immediate family. They are the best.
For Matt's birthday, I baked him a pecan pie (it's a tradition), and bought him a ticket for a bus trip to NYC! We're going to NYC on November 19th with our good friends Josh and Amanda. It's Matt's first time to the city so i'm not sure how he's going to like it, but i'm sure we'll have lots of fun! :)
