My birthday weekend

I'm twenty.
Even though it's a little sad to leave my teenager life behind forever, I was ready. For the past year, I already felt like I was 20. I've been feeling a little older than I actually am lately and I think it has to do with the more responsibility I have now.

My birthday was really nice, but it does seem like birthdays aren't as exciting as they were when you were little. Remember in Elementary School when you got to take in cupcakes on your birthday!? Those were the best days. I remember for my 8th birthday I had a rollerskating party in my basement with all of my friends:

Oh, and what was up with that bowl cut that my mom insisted that I should have?

And the next year for my 9th birthday I had a Powerpuff Girls themed party:

Ahh, the memories.

But I did do a couple things with friends this year.
My actual birthday was a little boring, but it was still enjoyable. I avoided Facebook at all costs (your Facebook literally gets blown up on your birthday), I went to the mall with Tara and got a couple new shirts, and Mariah cooked me homemade chicken alfredo, which was DELICIOUS.

The next night, Brooke, Tara, Mariah, Jesse, Matt, and me all went to Buffalo Wild Wings to celebrate. :)

Matt and I shared fried pickles for an appetizer, then I got honey bbq wings. They were really good! I had the best night with everyone.

We were all laughing at Jesse's mountain man beard.

Oh, and Matt gave me these beautiful roses and mini sunflowers. They were gorgeous.

After we got home from Buffalo Wild Wings, Tara and I went over to Kasee's and hung out with her and her roommates. We had a lot of fun.

The next morning Carissa picked me up and we headed to Denny's and met Erica, Kane, Kevin, and Lindsay there too. We got there at 9:30 and didn't leave until after 12. We just had so much fun talking for hours about work and our lives, even though our service sucked. I cringe for our waitress because I know what it's like, but she was horrible. First, her cell phone went off in her apron when she was taking our orders! How unprofessional is that? Then, after we ordered, it literally took forever to get our food, and she was never around to get us refills or anything. Oh well, we still had a great time.

After Denny's we went to the local pet store and played with the puppies. Listen... I fell in love with this one dog there. It was a Morkie, and I HAVE to have one! Only.. she was $800 :(

Haha, Kane makes me laugh.
I NEED this puppy. I fell in love with her, but I just can't afford her whatsoever. :(

We played with other cute dogs too:

I really do need a puppy.

Then sunday, mom made me a birthday dinner of stuffed shells, salad, and garlic bread, with chocolate cake and peanut butter icing for dessert! It was very good. I'm blessed to have the friends and family who care so much about me.

I'm also blessed for the yoga pants Mariah got me. I've been living in them ever since she gave them to me.
