Lent starts today! Do you guys give up anything?
In the past I've given up peanut butter, chocolate, my hair straightener
(my hair ended up being so much healthier after a month and a half of not
straightening it!), and Facebook. Facebook was a really hard one for me.
This year I've given it a lot of thought, and I decided to give up soda and eating after
dinner. I drink soda every single day, especially at work, and I think it will be really
hard for me to give up. But I'm going to lean on the Lord for support and do it!
The eating after dinner thing is going to be really hard too. I am so used to eating dessert
like ice cream or other snacks after supper, so I think I'm going to really miss it. But I can do
it. Hopefully it will help me be a little bit healthier too!
So last night I drank a lot of soda and definitely had a cup of ice cream after supper.
I guess I won't be seeing those things again until after Easter!
