Halloweenie Weekend

I've been waiting for this weekend for weeks now. Not because I had anything specific planned at all No, this weekend was the break between my first nursing class of the semester and the second. You know what that meant? No studying at all. No worrying about studying. No online tests to take, no questions and answers that were due on Monday. Guys, this was glorious. I don't think anyone realizes how much time and effort is put into nursing school. It is awful I tell you.

Trevor's birthday was the day before our nursing final, so we really couldn't celebrate much. I did end up making him a golf course cupcake extravaganza which was pretty sweet, and gave him his gifts on his birthday. And of course made him breakfast and dinner too :) But anyways, because his birthday was the day before our final and was spent studying, we decided that we would have to celebrate on the weekend.

Friday night we decided to drive three hours away to this place called Field of Screams.

The Field of Screams was like a giant haunted carnival with food, a live band, and four main attractions: a haunted hayride, an Asylum, the Den of Darkness, and Nocturnal Wasteland. We went on the hayride first which was super creepy. I sat in between Trevor and Chelsey, and Chelsey and I ended up holding hands the entire time while shutting our eyes and screaming. Trevor and Clinton sat behind us and we found out later that they were looking at the scary actors, pointing at us, telling them to come and scare us! No wonder we had about 17 people come up behind us.

Nocturnal Wasteland was a creepy haunted graveyard that we had to walk though. Trevor and I were in the front for it and i'm pretty sure we got the blunt end of it, or at least, I did! All of the creepy guys in costume of course go after the first girl in the group. I tried so hard to play it cool so they wouldn't all come after me ;)

The Asylum and the Den of Darkness were both pretty creepy haunted houses complete with mangled bodies, clowns, witch doctors, and of course guys chasing you with chainsaws. I was a little creeped out, but still had a blast!

Last night Trevor and I decided to get some strumbolis and head over to his house to carve pumpkins with Clint and Chels. 

Of course I had to carve a cat ;)
