May little things

May is sort of a blur now, but it was by far one of the best months of the year (so far!)

I started out May (well, actually it was late April) with my very last clinical as a student nurse:
I had evening clinicals with these two and others, and we were all pretty close by the end of it. Turns out, the people I started clinicals with in my first year of nursing were the people that I made friends with and stuck with until the end. How cool :)

Trevor and I decided to drive to a local little restaurant that is known for their breakfasts and sweets, Mamie's. Trevor got peanut butter and banana french toast while I opted for the stuffed french toast with cream cheese and fresh fruit.
I could only eat about half of that until my stomach wanted to explode due to all of the sugar in that thing!

My cat is the same as he's always been:

Right after our final nursing exam of the semester, a bunch of people from our class went out to eat and celebrate one last time.
It's kind of crazy how close we all got over the past two years. I spent every single day with all of these guys, and they became like family.

Here's me and my friend Jaci that night. She was the very first friend I made in nursing school and she still remains one of my good friends now!
Love that girl.

We had another dinner arranged for our nursing class for the day right before our pinning ceremony.
This was probably not even half of our class, but it was still a great time.

Here's Jace and me that night:

Pinning ceremony and graduation flew by in the blink of an eye:
I've never been so proud of a little piece of paper before.

More about those here and here.

After graduation, Trev and I went out with Brian, Janelle, Jack, and Gina for some food and drinks at the Knick to celebrate.
I love triple dating with these two! It's always a fun time.

The next day Clint and Chelsey graduated from Saint Frances University. Chelsey got her degree in elementary education and Clint got his bachelor's degree, but.. Clint still isn't done. He is going for Occupational Therapy and still has one year to go to get his Master's Degree in it.

So proud of my little teacher!

By the way... Clint and Chelsey went on a cruise to the Bahamas a week or two after graduation, and Clint proposed! They have been dating for almost 6 years now. I was giddy for about a whole week straight for them. I can't wait until the official wedding rolls around now!

I spent a lot of time with Trevor on the golf course:
I don't golf, but I think it is so relaxing to head to the course with him and just watch.

Plus, there are little baby ducks up there that I get to feed!

Sometimes Trevor does teach me how to swing at the driving range, and it is actually pretty fun. I'm no pro at all, but I still enjoy it.

I had my cat shaved into a lion:

Me, Trevor, Clint, Chelsey, Brian, and Janelle had our first camping adventure of the summer. We went up to my actual hunting camp this time and we had a blast fishing in the pond, sitting around the fire, and cooking breakfast the next morning. We were supposed to sleep upstairs in the cots, but there was some sort of animal up there.. we weren't sure if they were flying squirrels or bats, but either way, we opted to sleep on the couches downstairs.
Trevor got that lovely "Balls to the Wall" shirt at the Salvation Army, haha

One Monday I went out for margaritas at Montezumas with Janelle, Emily, Lexi, and Kylee. That night we planned a last minute beach trip for a week away, and booked the hotel in less than 24 hours! It was probably one of the best last-minute, spontaneous decisions.
I met these girls through Janelle and Trevor, but they quickly turned into great friends of mine too!

Here we are at Emily's graduation party:

I had my first "official" job interview for a nursing position. Naturally I realized that I didn't own a single nice outfit, so I had to run to Kohl's last minute for this professional attire:
Let's just say that the interview went well, I got the job!

Sometimes we get blessed with some pretty sweet sunsets here in Altoona. This one was right outside of the YMCA, and it is straight from my iPhone. No filter!

Here's one from memorial day weekend. Check out those clouds!
I'm a sucker for pretty sunsets.

I had a fire on a friday night and invited over Amanda, Elaina, and Emily. We had the best time catching up!

Never leave your car door open with Sammy around, because he thinks he's always going somewhere:

Luke turned 17 this month. I can't believe my little bro is going to be a senior in high school!

We had dinner for him at Grandma's house over Memorial Day weekend. All of my uncles were home and the house was filled with family. We had hot sausages, hamburgers, pasta salad, macaroni salad, and other kinds of picnic food that was super delicious.

Uncle Doug took Trev, Luke, and I to the 1000 steps for an early morning hike:

He also took Luke and I out to Main Street for some wings, but I don't have any pictures of that night, dang it.

Sometimes I make Trevor pull over on the side of the road to take random pictures.

I think Trev is quickly realizing that since he is dating me, there's going to be a million and one photos taken of us.

He went fishing with friends and sent me these photos of him:

How funny :-)

What a great month!
