my weekend (yes i understand today is thursday)

I had the perfect weekend with friends! The weather was beautiful and I didn't have to work that much.  Also, my roommate moved home for the summer so i've been enjoying having the house to myself!

Thursday I worked in the morning and then went out with these two:
We had a lot of fun just hanging out and eating appetizers that were on a half off special and nothing screams "AWESOME" like half off deals. Trevor came a little later and we all played pool.

Friday morning I woke up and had a late breakfast/brunch with Trevor with french toast and banana.
Super friggin yummy.

Friday I was part of this simulation lab thing at the hospital which sounded pretty cool when I signed up but actually ended up being kind of a dud. They put fake blood on me and I had to lay in a bed while trauma students came in and assessed me for a test. It was an all day thing, but hey, at least I got $75 out of it!
That evening I went for a short run that ended up with me just picking a bunch of wild flowers.

Mariah came and visited Friday evening! And guess who she brought that she just got..
The absolute CUTEST puppy in the whole wide world. (And the orneriest!)

I couldn't resist cuddling with him. And don't tell me you could resist that little itty bitty face <3

Later that night, my friends Gina and Anne stopped over and we all just sat in my kitchen for a couple hours and talked about whatever. It was nice to catch up with everyone! And I like introducing my old friends to my new friends :)

The next day Mariah and I had a ton of adventures exploring the town. We went to a couple overlooks, but by far my favorite was Chimney Rocks:
The view is breathtaking. And what you don't realize that in these pictures, especially in the first one with just me, we are standing on those rocks and around those rocks is a million kajillion foot drop. I'm telling you, it was scary! Every time I went up on that far rock to get a picture and I looked down I got super dizzy. Does that mean i'm scared of heights?

^Here is the center point of view. Super pretty!

After Chimney Rocks, Mariah and I decided that we needed froyo and we needed it now. We are the froyo queens and froyo belongs to us. So we had to get it.
Look how good that looks! If you haven't tried froyo yet, you really really don't know what you're missing.

But my day didn't end there!

Mariah went home and then I hung out with Adrian for a little bit. We went and watched her friends from High School walk into prom. Then we went to Texas Road House for a yummy dinner. I got a 6oz with a sweet potato and a salad, and of course I got filled up on the rolls and the salad then could barely eat any of my dinner! They give you so much food.

And THEN, even after that, Trevor picked me up and we headed to Brian's house where him, Janelle, and his mom and dad were having a fire so we just sat around the fire and talked for the remainder of the evening. Talk about a perfect end to the day. :)

And then Sunday I was back to work. Boo.

This week has been crazy for me! I havent been able to keep up with the blogging every day in May thing, but i'm trying! I currently am taking a summer course and have two jobs that are sucking the life out of me. And this is only week #1 of the summer! I'm constantly on the go and barely have time to even sit down. But i'm having fun and that's all that matters, right? :)
