Goodbye Month 6!

Welp, I can't believe month #6 has come and gone. I'm officially about 3 months away from my due date and next week I will be in the 3rd trimester!

So far, I really can't complain much about my pregnancy! I have felt great. Besides a little bit of nausea and food aversions in the beginning, this pregnancy really has been a breeze. I have been noticing that my feet, legs, and lower back are really starting to get sore by the end of the day so I think i'm going to invest in some good compression socks to wear to work. Also, sleeping is starting to get uncomfortable on any position except my sides. My pregnancy pillow has been a lifesaver but if I accidentally roll onto my back during the night I will have to wake up and adjust.

I failed my 1-hour glucose test last week which is sort of stressing me out. I have to do a 3-hour test this Saturday and if I fail that one, I will be diagnosed with gestational diabetes. From what i've read, most people who fail the 1-hour will pass the 3-hour, so i'm hoping that's the case with me. My doctor thinks I should pass since I really don't fit the typical "mold" for a gestational diabetic and my weight gain has been minimal, but i've always had issues with my blood sugar crashing even when i'm not pregnant so we will see.

The idea of this baby is really becoming real. My baby shower is next month and i'm so excited to begin to set up our nursery. I'm really beginning to picture our lives once he joins the picture and I just can't wait to meet this little guy.

How far along are you? 27 weeks tomorrow!
What fruit are you? Baby Beiswenger is now the size of a bunch of bananas and weighs a little over 2lbs.
Total weight gain/loss: 17.5lbs as of this morning which is right on track! All the data says I should be up anywhere between 15-30 pounds right now.
Exercise: I've taken Timber on a few walks after work but it's hard for me to find motivation to work out after work especially since i've been dealing with back pain and achy feet.
Stretch marks: None so far. Not bragging yet, because I know they can show up any time and I have a lottttt of growing to do still!
Swelling: None yet!
Maternity clothes: Ohhh yes. I'm now wearing Trevor's shirts at night as well
Belly button: Flat against my belly.
Sleep: Like I said above, it's starting to get a little more difficult. I really have to utilize my pregnancy pillow to get into a comfortable position. I'm also up at least once a night to pee
Food cravings: Milk all day err day. I've also been on a major greek yogurt kick lately.
Symptoms: A slight increase in anxiety (thanks hormones), but mostly just sore feet and lower back. Oh, and peeing every 5 minutes!
Movement: He is constantly on the move now!
What I miss: Being able to sleep comfortably and not have to wake up in the middle of the night to pee.
What I’m loving: His little kicks &watching Trevor become more and more excited about being a dad.
What i’m looking forward to: My baby shower next month! I can't wait to celebrate this little babe with friends and family.
