what living with Mariah has taught me

The era of me living with Mariah and Tara in our first apartment has ended. Sadly. It's time for me to move on to my next town. I'm going to miss living in Shippensburg so much! Even if it was a short time, we had so much fun together.



Living with Mariah I have learned that...
-You're supposed to put salt in your water before you boil it. (Never knew that!)

- Cooked pasta may stick to walls, but it definitely does NOT stick to wood. (fail)

- There never is an inappropriate time to drink Chai. Never.

- Every single time it rains, you HAVE to have tomato soup and grilled cheese. And snuggle in the living room with blankets while catching up on your netflix.

- You need to have a venting session at least once a week about all of your troubles. Completely necessary.

- Sweater weather truly is better weather.

- If you want to make a spontaneous 8 hour drive to Vermont, you just do it.

- If you want Burger King soft serve at 10pm you just go get it.

- It's okay to run around screaming Taylor Swift lyrics, acting like a rockstar, every once in a while.

- The library is the best place for productivity. Better yet, it may be the only place for productivity

- Cheerio treats never last a day between the two of us

- And on the 8th day, God created yoga pants

- Mariah gets really uncomfortable when people cry in front of her. (Yeah, that crier would be me.)

- Mariah is the cook, and I am the eater. And Mariah is a really good cook too. (Refer to this post)

- It's okay to open your Christmas presents to each other in November.

- If you cannot quote Mean Girls with us, you won't get any of our references

- A Harry Potter wand and glasses make a Saturday night even better

- We both get cold SUPER easily, hence the reason why we both lived in slippers all fall/winter (she wore a pair of my slippers all fall and then winter came and I got her a pair of her own =)

Blurry, but I feel as this picture sums up our friendship.  (And it totally looks like i'm wearing a diaper.. or a speedo, or something.)

- The best time and place to practice the moon walk is on hardwood floors with socks on
