kitchen updates, before we leave for the fall!

As we leave for our next assignment tomorrow, I thought I would reminisce on the progress Trevor and I made on our kitchen this summer. Since the last update, I painted the cabinets white, installed new hardware, and had new light fixtures installed.

These images are straight from my camera, so sorry if they are a little dark. I am SO happy with how my cabinets turned out. I painted them white on Monday/Tuesday of this week and still are getting used to them. They really were a pretty wood grain before, but my style is more of a white cabinet so I decided to paint them and i'm so glad I did.

Trevor and I obviously aren't finished. We have more cabinet pulls to drill (you can see in the pictures that the drawers don't have pulls on them), and our range hood for over the stove needs installed (patiently waiting on our contractor to do this). I also have a bunch of other updates in my head that I want to do in the future, such as a farmhouse sink, large faucet, Carrera quartz counters, and herringbone wood floors (a dream!). But I am enjoying refinishing our house a tiny bit at a time.

I'm so proud of all the work we've accomplished this summer! Let's take a look again at what the kitchen USED to look like:
We've come a long way!
