I met Bridget at work on Labor and Delivery 3 years ago. She is the secretary on the unit and we clicked instantly! Her, me, and our other friend Lindsay that also works there became the best of friends!
Bridget and her husband Chris have been trying for several years now to get pregnant. I won't disclose her entire journey here on my blog, but it has been a very difficult road for them. When I found out she was pregnant, I was so incredibly excited for them!! We had always joked that we were going to be pregnancy buddies, so imagine my surprise (and hers) when I find out that i'm also pregnant and due only a month behind her! It was such a funny/awesome surprise to have someone to go through this pregnancy journey with!
She had a nice get together for her gender reveal on Saturday with lunch, then her and Chris cut into a cake that had the color revealing the gender inside! Bridget was SOO convinced she was having a girl. Like nothing could convince her otherwise. When she cut into the cake, we were all shocked to see blue! Her facial expression was priceless.
I am so excited for her and Chris and can't wait to spoil this little guy!
