Nashville Trip (the adventure)

I call the Nashville Trip an adventure because it was! So many epic things went down on the trip that I would like to remember.

Thursday
Mariah and I met up to start our journey. We traveled 2.5 hours to Baltimore, Maryland where we were meeting up with everyone else. We carb loaded with some great spaghetti and explored the city.
Baltimore, you're pretty, but i'm prejudice against you due to the fact that I am a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan. (Hines Ward is my man!)

Friday
We left at 3AM for our 11 hour trip to Nashville. Let me just tell you, 5 adults crammed into a tiny car is not fun. Especially when we are all drinking a lot of water to stay hydrated for the race, so we have to pee every 100 miles. (It was a 750mile trip)

We got to our hotel and realized that we are staying on the bad side of Nashville. Bad side meaning that crackville is only a few blocks away. Oops. I was afraid to sleep in the bed.

We went out to eat that night, only for some more carb loading! We all got pasta, and it wasn't that great. Bummer. But Mariah and I did take this picture, you know, because you HAVE to have a dashboard picture when you are in the car.
I also tried to play the lying down game on a shopping cart. Epic fail.

Saturday
Race day! You can read about the race HERE.

OH!! And awesome news! After the race, I found TWO four-leaf clovers while I was sitting in the grass! Check it out:
I've never found a 4-leaf clover before, let alone two in a row! This must be my lucky month! :)

That night, my Uncle Doug and his fiance Megan who lives in Nashville took Mariah and I out to eat and for froyo. YUMMY.

I love Uncle Doug and Megan so much. Uncle Doug is the coolest uncle ever, no doubt.

Sunday
All 5 of us, sore as can be from the race, crammed back into the car. Let me just tell you, we all looked like cowboys walking around at the rest stops due to the immense pain we were all in from the marathon. It was pretty funny. We got to Baltimore around 9:00pm and then I finally got home at 11:30pm. What a trip. I definitely will not forget this for the rest of my life.
