Does summer count as an era? I feel so. It's such a significant time in the year, so different than the rest of the year, especially for us college students. I'm back in school at Penn State, sadly. Although, I'm excited to begin classes and everything, it's going to be really stressful. This semester I have to get the best grades as possible in order to get into the nursing program! If I don't get in... well... I really have no idea what i'll do.
I can't believe summer is officially over for me. I've been reflecting on the things i've done not only this summer, but this entire year, and i'm pretty pleased with myself. I think 2011 is going great! :)
I have...
Tried a new haircut,
Celebrated Matt and my 4-year anniversary,
Ran a half marathon,
Tried FROYO for the first time,
Found my first four-leaf clover,
Went fishing,
Went fishing again,
Watched my best friend graduate,
Met the Duggar family from TLC's 19 Kids and Counting,
Spent hours in the pool,
Went Coastal with Kenny Chesney,
Starting saving money for my next big goal,
Saw Taylor Swift's Speak Now concert in Pittsburgh,
Got my first apartment,
Spent an entire week with all of my cousins,
Saw the last Harry Potter (therefore an even bigger era has ended, my childhood!)
Went to the beach,
Met my hero (and the love of my life),
and learned how to french braid!
...and a lot of other little adventures along the way, such as eating icecream almost every night of the summer (not kidding), got a mini promotion at work (Hostess to Waitress), layed in the pool and read a couple books, worked on a few projects, painted some furniture, put a couple thousand miles on my car (more like 10,000), experienced my first earthquake on the Eastern Coast, watched every season of the Kardashians that is out there (Kim and Kourtney Take New York, Keeping Up, Khloe and Lamar, and my personal favorite, Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami) had several Harry Potter marathons, and went on a major froyo kick.
Summer, we will meet again.
