Hershey Park happy (Part One)

Hey, for you non-Pennsylvanians, did you know that Hershey's, the chocolate company, has their very own amusement park? Yep. In Hershey, PA! They used to make their chocolate right there at the chocolate factory, but unfortunately they are now making it all in Mexico now. But anyways, last Tuesday basically all of the cool people at Hoss's took off work and we all drove down to Hershey Park, which is about an hour away.

It was in the 60's and cloudy the whole day! I wore shorts and a tshirt and I was cooooold. We avoided the water park like the plague.

I rode with Lindsay and Kane and we jammed out the whole way down there.

Once we got there we rode the SOOPERDOOPERLOOPER.
Which is a joke. It only has one loop! But I think it is the oldest looping roller coaster on the East coast (Don't quote me on that though).
Then we rode the Great Bear.

The Great Bear is the first upside down roller coaster I ever rode! I was in 7th grade. It is one of my favorites. Kane and Lindsay forced me to ride in the front car for that ride and it was worth it! It was super fun.

After that, we headed to ride the Storm Runner (which is my favorite!)
(From left to right) Kwame, Lindsay, Kevin, Sara, Me, Eric, and Kane in line for the Storm Runner
The storm runner is a roller coaster that takes you from 0 to 60 in literally like .5 seconds. Watch this video and see it in action (and laugh at the guy screaming woaah!) :

The scariest part is when you hear that guy's voice say, "Now get ready... here we go!" Because you know the take off is coming and you just want to pee your pants with excitement.
But I rode this ride with Eric and he said that he loved riding with me because instead of screaming, I just laughed hysterically the whole time. I LOVE IT.

A total of 7 of us went to the park together, meaning that our riding numbers were uneven. So everyone was scrambling to grab a partner before each ride started. Here was my best friend/main riding buddy for the day:
haha, doesn't he look thrilled? But after one time of not having a partner and having to ride alone, I jumped and made sure I called dibs on riding with someone every time we walked in line for a coaster. Because let's face it, riding alone isn't fun at all.

I rode with this guy once:
Kev.
But all he did was shout, "YEAH BUDDY!" the whole time.

^Sara went too, but her and Kwame kinda rode together the whole time since they are love birds and everything.

The last ride we rode for the day was the newest roller coaster at Hershey, the Sky Rush.
Here we are, making our "we're really excited for the Sky Rush" faces.
Lindsay and Kane's, "Why are we doing this?!" Sky Rush faces.
Here we are again making our "omg we're about to actually get on this ride and we're scared!" faces.

The Sky Rush was aweeeeesome! What it is is a roller coaster that goes really high in the sky, and it goes 75mph. You don't have shoulder restraints. The only thing holding you in is a bar that goes across your lap, and your feet are dangling! It is crazy scary. The only thing is, all the pressure was on your legs to hold you in and it really hurt your thighs. But other than that, cool!

Here's our "Quick guys, cross your arms and don't look at the camera!" faces. If Hoss's had a rock band, this would be the cover.

We stayed at the park from open to close and it was so. much. fun. I don't think i've had that much fun in a long time. We laughed... a lot. And made a ton of inside jokes. And ate Dippin' Dots. (Cookie Dough blast! Holla!) And after we ate at Red Robin. But I guess that is a story for another day. (And Kane has the Red Robin photos.. so I guess i'll just have to wait til he sends them to me!)
