Beiswenger Cousins!

So many exciting things are happening in our family!

First off, i'm so thankful for an amazing sister in law like Chelsey. As soon as we met, we've been the best of friends. Trev, me, Clint, and her are like 4 peas in a pod and basically do everything together. It's funny because whenever Trevor does something, Clint has to do it too. And vice versa. For example, Trevor and I got married in July 2017, and then Clint and Chels got married just two months later in September 2017. Chelsey and I had a blast planning our weddings together.

We always joked that we were going to have kids together and be pregnant at the same time. We dreamed of having babies close in age that would grow up as cousins and best friends. Well... since Trevor and I weren't planning on having babies just yet, it was a shock to Clint and Chels that I was pregnant when we told them. None of us were planning on having babies for at least another year. However.... as soon as they found out I was pregnant, they immediately started trying!

One evening they came over to our house with a gift bag. She told me that she got us a present for our baby. When I opened it up, it was a onesie that said, "Cousins make the best friends". She was pregnant!! I immediately started crying (thanks pregnancy hormones) and I couldn't stop hugging her. I couldn't believe that we were actually having babies together! She is due June 20th, almost exactly two months behind me.

I can tell that Trevor and Clinton are both so excited too. I'm glad that Trevor has his brother to lean on and go through the exact same thing. I think that having the support will be great for both of them especially when dealing with a newborn baby, that they can consult each other when they need it.

Clint and Chels are currently living down in Fairfax, Virginia but are planning on moving home next summer after the baby is born. We are so excited to have them back home where we can hang out with them and have baby play dates every weekend!

We are having a boy, so we are soooo anxious to see what they are having as well. Boys run in the Beiswenger family (or so I'm told), and it would be really fun to see two boys growing up together as best friends. But on the other hand, having a little girl in the family would be sooo sweet and it would be fun for us to babysit because we would get to occasionally see what the other gender was like, etc. Another thing we are so curious about is: Are our kids going to look alike?!? Unless they seriously take on only Chelsey and my genes, they probably will! I can't wait to find out.

Here's to a lifetime of fun Christmases and family get togethers. The best times in my childhood were the ones when all of the cousins got together, and I can't wait for our kids to have the same.
