Aqua dog visits the ocean

Last weekend Trevor and I had a few days off from work so we decided to take off for Cape Cod while the weather's still nice. We both had never been to the Cape, but heard great things from our coworkers who go every summer with their families. We rented a cute little cottage off Airbnb and explored!

Our cottage was only a .25mi walk to the ocean. We took Timber along who had never been to the ocean before, and he had a BLAST. This dog is not afraid of water, and will play in it for hours.

The Cape is very quaint and beautiful. It is filled with beautiful houses and hydrangeas everywhere. Local shops and restaurants line the streets. It was a great getaway!

Trevor and I spent time walking around in downtown Chatham, getting ice cream and looking at the shops.

For lunch, we stopped at this cute restaurant right on the harbor. We tried our very first lobster rolls which were so good! I can see what the hype is all about.

For dinner, we decided that we wanted to find a raw bar. We got oysters to share, and then I had seafood pasta. Trevor ordered surf and turf with lobster tail. Yum!

The Cape is only a 2 hour drive from where we are stationed now, and it was so much fun to get out of Worcester for a bit. At the end of the month we are heading to Burlington, Vermont for my birthday and I am so so so excited! Burlington is the best city ever.
