I'm so excited to share my wedding photos on here and talk about the details of the day. There's so many photos that I've decided to split my posts into four parts. Today I'm talking about getting ready with my girls and the bridal party portraits!
The night before the wedding, I think I got about 4 hours of sleep. My girls stayed over at my house the night before and my best friend Emily and I spent hours laying in bed and talking about life. She's been my best friend since preschool and even though our lives are pulled in different directions, it always feels so good to catch up with her! Also, my wedding day eve felt like Christmas. I was so excited about the day to come that it was hard to go to sleep!
In the morning, we woke up and had breakfast of muffins, fruit, bagels, and mimosas. My first look with Trevor wasn't scheduled until 2pm that day, so we had time to relax and get ready. I loved hosting everyone at my house. Eden, who is Trevor's cousin and is a hairdresser in Pittsburgh came over and did our hair. We listened to music and casually got ready for the day. I remember feeling so excited and relaxed at this point. With my makeup, I wanted to look nice but also natural. I generally don't wear a ton of makeup and wanted to look like myself on my big day. Emily did my makeup and did a fantastic job! I loved the way it turned out in photos.
Around noon we headed over to the venue. At the venue there is this gorgeous mini guesthouse where we finished getting ready. This is when the excitement/nerves kicked in! I was so excited to see Trevor!
My florist met me at the venue to drop off our bouquets, and I was absolutely blown away. She exceeded my expectations and more. I couldn't stop staring at them! She made my dream bouquet into a reality.
My mother and sister surprised me with my bouquet that was wrapped in my Grandma Anna's handkerchief. We called it my "something blue". These little details were so meaningful. I also wore my Grandma Anna's black onyx ring on my right hand. It made it feel like she was with me that day, because she wanted to be there so badly.
The best bridesmaids a girl could ask for! I don't get to see them all very often, and it was so special to me to have them all together at once. Three of them are my best friends from high school, my sister was my maid of honor, my cousin Rayne, and then my sister in law Chelsey. It was the best spending the morning with them.
My handsome groom!
Susan, my florist, used the same berries that were in my bouquet and put them in Trevor's boutonnière. She tied the details together perfectly!

Fun fact: It was raining off and on the morning of the wedding and it finally stopped right as it was time to go outside and take pictures! I guess they say that rain on your wedding day is good luck?
