I just got back from spending the night at Emily's. It was so nice to catch up with her. I haven't seen her since winter break. It's weird from going from living with her and seeing her every day to not seeing her for months at a time. It is also really nice to catch up with Megan and Debbie too. I love them both so much, I feel like her family is my family, you know? Because Emily and me grew up basically attached to the hip!
We went to the end of the valley and picked up Danielle! We spent hours in Em's room just catching up and gossiping. I really miss those girls! We laughed a lot. And talked about everything. Sometimes you just need a good old girl talk.
This is an old picture, but we didn't take any last night and I wanted to add one of us three.
I talked to Megan and Debbie about the Penn State nursing program too. I'm excited, because Megan might be going for nursing too. Talking to Debbie and Megan about the nursing program made me feel very optimistic about my choice. I am about 97% sure now that I want to do nursing. There are just so many opportunities available in that job field.
Education in the US is going downhill. This is not the appropriate time to go to college to become a teacher, because the jobs are just so limited. First of all, there are TONS of people going to school to become teachers. More people are going to college for that then there are jobs available. Second, the government is cutting education funding. More and more current teachers are being let go, meaning more experienced teachers are out of work. Plus, many of the benefits teachers have are being taken away. It would just not be wise to go into education at this point with all of the uncertainties. Oh well, I think I will love nursing. I really do. I am excited to get out there and start.
Right now it's raining a lot here. SHC got home early because of flash flooding. I was supposed to go to see the musical "Fiddler on the Roof" at the school tonight, but it got moved to next Thursday. I hope I can still go see it, I was planning on going.
I gotta run 3 miles tonight too. Blah.
9 miles on Saturday! Whoof.
